MPC acquired this charming Malibu grocery-anchored center in 2005  and transformed it into the gathering place for  central and west Malibu at the center of Malibu’s population.  MPC undertook a $4 million dollar comprehensive renovation including fountains, lush landscaping, and a central flagstone piazza, and succeeded in re anchoring the center with Pavilions, as well as attracting a better class of local tenants. Nestled on Heathercliff Road at Pacific Coast Highway, it is the gateway to Point Dume and Zuma Beaches, the busiest beach in L.A. County. It is 56,000 square feet of retail and offices surrounding the Pavilions store, with an eclectic mix of shops, locally-owned dining establishments, salons,  fashion, pharmacy, and organic dry cleaners. Some of the upstairs offices enjoy ocean views and mountain vistas. MPC retained, the authenticity and cache of the laid back Malibu vibe, creating a combination of neighborhood, as well as seasonal tourist, destination.  Permanent financing is provided by Guardian Life Insurance Company.
